Doug Lester

Doug began his
data processing experience in 1983 and spent over
6 at PaySys International, Inc. (fka CCS)
before joining Softech Solutions in 1997. He is an
expert in CICS and Cobol II. During the
last couple of years at PaySys, he was the
Technical Lead responsible for migrating the
VisionPLUS product line to the Unix platform. This project involved utilizing
Unikix (UNIX based CICS /VSAM emulator) and
MicroFocus Cobol to port all applications. Prior
to this project, Doug was responsible for the
CardPac online authorization system (OLA) for two
years. In addition to coding and implementing all
MasterCard and Visa compliance updates, he was
involved with several MasterCard and Visa
certifications for customers.
Since joining Softech Doug has:
Designed, coded, implemented, and certified an interface between Base24 and the VisionPLUS authorization system (FAS) for the largest bank in Indonesia
Performed certifications for PaySys' FAS, with both MasterCard and VISA.
Developed REXX routines to aid clients with their source code management in conjunction with their implementation of both Vision21 and VisionPlus.
Assisted clients in upgrades to VisionPLUS, and retrofitted Vision21 custom code to work with VisionPLUS.
Redesigned an Order Entry interface to CDM and CAS to work with the VisionPLUS CDM and FAS applications using MQ Series communication.
Was heavily involved in the design and coding of our PCT Manager product.
