Gail Pentz
Professional
Gail comes to us from PaySys International, Inc. where she
spent nearly seven years training VisionPLUS risk
management products. During her stint at PaySys, Gail
trained CDM, CTA and LTS, and developed the training
manuals, PowerPoint presentations and quick reference
materials for the control record and user courses she taught.
She also helped develop the computer-based training courses
for those products.
Prior to her work with PaySys, Gail spent seven years doing
technical writing and instructional design for SunTrust
Service Corporation, the data processing arm of SunTrust
Banks, Inc. While there she learned the Information Mapping
method of procedure writing, and was later certified by
information Mapping to train the method.
Before her time with SunTrust, she spent four years in the
mortgage banking industry and three years teaching in the
elementary school classroom.
Personal
Gail was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, but grew up in Palmyra,
Pennsylvania, five miles down the road from the Hershey
Foods Corporation. Every morning on her way to school, she
would smell the aroma of chocolate coming from factory
smokestacks and crave a candy bar. She attributes her great
love of chocolate (preferably dark) to her physical proximity to
the factory.
Her B.A. in religious education is from Messiah College and
her M.A. in English education (with a specialty in writing) is
from the University of Central Florida. She has been married
since
1979 and resides in Sarasota, Florida. Husband Keith
has over 20 years of teaching experience and presently does
training and consulting in the field of early childhood education.
Together they enjoy overseas travel and try to collect artwork from each of their destinations. Both avid readers, they also study
current brain research and how it applies to teaching and learning.
